RUSAL completes the scheduled repayment of Eurobonds
Moscow, 17 February, 2022 - RUSAL (trading code on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange 486, on the Moscow Exchange RUAL), a leading global aluminium producer, has completed the scheduled repayment of Eurobonds in the amount of USD512 million out of its own funds.
The debut Eurobonds issue in the amount of USD600 million maturing in 5 years was placed by the Company in 2017. The coupon’s rate was 5.125%. The proceeds from the issue were used for the refinancing of the Company’s current indebtedness. A part of the issue was repaid in 2020.
“This repayment is part of the Company's ongoing debt profile management. Taking into account early repayments in 2021, RUSAL has significantly reduced the amount of total debt and improved the key parameters of the loan portfolio,” said Alexey Grenkov, Head of Corporate Finance of RUSAL.
