RUSAL offers graduates of higher and secondary Russian educational institutions a chance to apply their knowledge in practice by undergoing a paid internship at the Company's production facilities and business units. Young professionals who manage to distinguish themselves are invited to work for RUSAL on a permanent basis.

The 'New Generation' programme was implemented at RUSAL in 2017 open to graduates of educational institutions under the age of 27 who have got a qualificatiom in one of 20+ specialties (manufacturing, repair and construction professions, finance, auditing, logistics, sales, procurement, quality, HR management, information technology, legal support, etc.). When selecting candidates, their academic performance during the studies, knowledge of foreign languages, desire and interest in further development, and readiness to change their place of residence are taken into account.

Young professionals are provided with an opportunity to undergo an internship under the guidance of experienced mentors at any RUSAL production facility in Russia. The internship lasts 3 months for those with working specialties, and 6 months for engineering and technical personnel and managers. Interns get a salary, and if they relocate to another region, the Company compensates them for transportation and accommodation expenses.

Programme participants have an opportunity to express themselves not only at their workplace, but also in the social and volunteer activities of their team and production facility. Those who successfully complete their internship are invited to continue working at RUSAL —an opportunity that has already been taken by more than 500 young professionals who have joined the RUSAL team.
