RUSAL is the leader in the Russian business rankings

RUSAL once again became the leader in the anti-corruption rating, receiving the AAA+ class (the highest level of anti-corruption). The rating results were announced at the 6th Russian Business Anti-Corruption Forum, dedicated to modern technologies for monitoring and managing corruption risks.

RUSAL’s participation in the rating is not so much a demonstration of the Company’s achievements as an opportunity to test the effectiveness of its work, gain new experience in anti-corruption practices, and confirm its commitment to the principles of the Anti-Corruption Charter.

Currently, when developing and strengthening its anti-corruption system, RUSAL focuses on utilising automation and artificial intelligence, as well as transforming its corporate culture.

Automation is a tool for increasing efficiency, reducing risks, and eliminating subjectivity in decision-making. RUSAL has already implemented automated procedures that enable rapid screening of counterparties for potential corrupt ties. Conflict of interest controls have also been automated, and an automated approval system for business entertainment expenses and gifts is currently being developed.

This year, the Company is paying special attention to predictive analysis of corruption risks. RUSAL strives not only to react to problems, but to identify vulnerabilities in advance. A key element of this approach is active work in the area of conflict of interest management.

In 2025, 50 domestic companies participated in the anti-corruption ranking. These companies represent Russia’s largest employers and rank at the top based on criteria such as revenue and sales volume. The rating has been conducted since 2020.

Alexander Pakhomov, Head of Compliance at RUSAL:

‘The key success factor is a shift in employee mindset, along with cultivating the principles of integrity and ethical behaviour across all levels of management and production within the Company. We view compliance not merely as a formality, but as an investment in efficiency and competitiveness. RUSAL is the leader of the Russian aluminium industry. However, we implement procedures aimed at preventing corruption not only in Russia, but also across the group’s overseas assets. We are confident that RUSAL’s resilient business reputation at a global level is important not only for our partners, but also for our country’s image in international markets.’
