Foil and packaging

RUSAL is the largest producer of a wide range of foil and packaging in Russia. The Company's production facilities produce foil with a thickness of between 5 to 240 microns, flexible packaging on its basis, aluminium strap and foil for household and technical purposes. The product portfolio comprises of:

• plain foil (hard or soft for food packaging, producing foil-based packaging materials or technical and construction purposes);
• strap;
• flexible packaging based on aluminium foil in coils and with heat-sealable coating for medicines;
• paper laminated aluminium foil for food packaging;
• paper laminated aluminium foil for tobacco products and its industry;
• plain foil for household purposes;
• lacquered, painted, printed embossed aluminium foil;
• combined multi-layer material based on aluminium foil (for fermented milk products and curds; for making capsules for wine and vodka products);
• combined aluminium foil material with a one-sided polyethylene coating for the cable industry;
• foil for producing semi-rigid aluminium containers (SRC).

All products conform to the requirements of Russian and international standards, as well as to customer specifications. Foil and packaging materials on such a basis are produced by four RUSAL facilities – SAYANAL, Urals Foil, ARMENAL and Sayan Foil.
