In 2017 a new continuous horizontal casting complex Properzi was launched. The equipment with the capacity of 120 thousand tons of metal per year produces alloys in the form of ten kilograms of bars. They are compact, easy to transport and optimal for the consumer. This type of product has never been produced at RUSAL before. Its main customer is the automotive industry, including the production of cast wheel rims. The launch of the equipment made it possible to increase production of alloys at KhAZ from 82 thousand to 202 thousand tonnes per year.
