Employee personal donations programme

The survey conducted by RUSAL in 2004 showed that 90% of the employees are willing to personally participate in charity projects. Targeted cash contributions with the feedback on the programme results were named as the most convenient form of donations.

In 2005, RUSAL launched a corporate programme of personal donations. Now every RUSAL employee can transfer money to charity by using the company’s intranet that includes a «Personal Donations Programme» section, where an employee can select a charity project and specify the amount of contribution to be deducted from his or her salary. Each contribution is doubled by RUSAL.

The collected funds are channelled to five charity organizations with an extensive professional experience and impeccable reputation. RUSAL’s intranet website publishes regular updates on the projects development and provides comprehensive expenditures reports.

14% of RUSAL’s Moscow office employees are permanent participants of personal donations programmes, whereas during special campaigns the number of participants increases up to 40%.
