RUSAL Social Programme Centre

Launched in 2000, RUSAL’s Social Programme Centre oversees the company’s community investments across Russia and Ukraine. The centre is headquartered in Krasnoyarsk and its representatives work in most of the regions where the company has operations.

The centre cooperates with regional authorities and NGOs, local communities and residents. The centre is responsible for selecting and supporting the most viable initiatives that might benefit local communities. The centre’s representatives consult potential participants of RUSAL’s social programmes, create partnerships to jointly tackle social issues and share their experience with local communities. RUSAL’s social programme centre has over 500 partners, involved in the regions’ development.

The centre’s programmes are aimed at encouraging children and young people to contribute to their native cities development, promoting children’s environmental education, supporting promising initiatives, helping young people to develop creativity and entrepreneurial spirit, supporting sports events and principles of social engineering across local communities.

The centre’s team collects and examines numerous applications and inquiries, which help to assess the region’s level of socio-economic development, identify major challenges and needs and develop an efficient plan of activities, aimed at improving the living standards in the regions where RUSAL operates.
