RUSAL Medical Centre manages a network of medical facilities across the regions the company
operates in. The medical centre was set up in 2005 with only a few branches however, over time it
has expanded and today it has divisions in Krasnoyarsk, Achinsk, Bratsk, Sayanogorsk, Volgograd,
Kamensk-Uralsky, Krasnoturyinsk, Shelekhov, Novokuznetsk, Kandalaksha, and Nadvoitsy.
The centre focuses primarily on health promotion and preventive care. The central part of an
effective healthcare system is the early detection of diseases, which is why RUSAL’s Medical
Centre conducts regular routine check-ups and maintains an up-to-date personal medical records
database. The centre also performs compulsory health screenings on all workers before admission to
work on hazardous production sites.
Furthermore, the medical centre facilities provide urgent and emergency сare services. Medical care
is provided to not only RUSAL’s employees but to any local resident with medical insurance.
The centre’s work is efficiently managed so that any patient can get a consultation without queuing
or making prior appointments, which is extremely important for workers..
The centre’s development requires significant intellectual and information resources, which is why
RUSAL co-operates with Russian and foreign educational and scientific institutions.
RUSAL’s Medical Centre plans to shortly apply for ISO 9001 certificate. The centre also intends to
join the national healthcare programme “Zdorovie” (Health).
