Biography
Evgeny Ovchinnikov has been working for UC RUSAL for over ten years. In April 2012 he was appointed RUSAL’s Commercial Director.
He is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted supply process within the company and optimization of costs for the procurement of raw materials and services for the transportation of raw materials and finished products. His is also responsible for the effective decision-making in sales of by-products with the aim to maximize profits and to form transparent reporting system, as well as for overall by-products sales management.
Evgeny started his work experience at the Novokuznetsk aluminium smelter. In 2000-2004, he held the post of a commercial director at the Achinsk alumina refinery. In 2004-2010, held various managerial positions at the head-office of the company being responsible for the procurement and supply logistics of raw materials for the company’s facilities. In April 2010 was appointed Director of By-products Sales Department in Commercial Directorate of UC RUSAL.
Evgeny Ovchinnikov graduated from the Siberian State Metals and Mining Academy with a degree in engineering and metals. In 1995 graduated from the Urals State Technical University with a degree in engineering and economics.
